Frequently Asked Questions

Why SAI?

Sigma Alpha Iota is an organization that fosters interaction between those who share a commitment to music. All over the world, women in our collegiate, alumnae and international chapters work together to support education and performance through music or the arts.

Sisters encourage involvement in campus life, and work with faculty and other Greek organizations to improve it. In your collegiate life and beyond, SAI offers you scholarship and grant opportunities, a professional network, a support system and inspiration. Members of this distinguished fraternity range from famous performing artists to your favorite childhood music teacher. We are proud of our sisterhood.

What kinds of opportunities are available to SAI sisters?

SAI Philanthropies, Inc., offers national scholarships to members for undergraduate, graduate, and summer studies. With alumnae chapters all over the country as well as many international members, SAI offers many contacts in the field of music and in virtually every other profession imaginable. Members of Beta Chapter enjoy performance opportunities, practice space, housing, and a great group of sisters ready to support them in their musical and other endeavors.
